The Beginning

When I started on plan, I didn't tell anybody. Not because I was embarrassed, but because I wasn't really sure it was going to work. Some of that was because I didn't really know much about the plan, didn't really know anyone on plan, and let's face it, it could have been a gimmick. But more importantly, I thought I would fail. To be frank, I don't have a great track record of success when it comes to dieting or maintaining my weight. I was a Yo-Yo PRO!

I found that the only reason certain people in my life found out I was on plan was because I was around them when my food alarm went off and I had to eat a bar in front of them. Only then would I own up to what I was doing. That's how I gathered “my five”. I came clean and asked them to help me.

I've struggled with my weight my entire life. I had periods of being thinner, and periods of not caring. Life was not only a yo-yo, it was a life of extremes. I was either eating in a super strict manner (and feeling miserable and like I was punishing myself) or I just said, “screw it' and ate whatever I wanted, indulging in whatever I felt like eating, WHENEVER I felt like eating it. Throw cancer into the mix and it was very hard to want to “diet” when you're in pain, just trying to get through the day, limited in what you can physically do, or just plain scared.

Food is definitely my love language. I love cooking and baking, and the truth is, that's how I show you I love YOU too! Food is the ultimate form of comfort, love, coping, fun, community…it was the center of my universe.

It's not always easy laying yourself open to criticism, but I felt this was important enough to share.  It hasn't been easy, that's for sure, and I hope to share with you all that has happened along the way to losing 130 pounds.

  • Are you a Coach and just trying to recruit people?

    Nope.  I used to be a Coach, and I enjoyed it immensely.  But not any longer.  I felt the best way for me to help the largest number of people was to build apps and try to get the right information and the right tools into a downloadable fashion for anyone who wanted them.  Knowledge is  POWER! 

  • What is the one thing you wish you could help everyone with?

    MATH!  Not everyone has the ability to immediately calculate ounces or percentages.  And not everyone has the ability to apply nutrition "rules" while cruising the grocery store aisles.  This first app we created was to help you with just that.  The number one question I got as a Coach was "Can I eat this?"  Wouldn't it be amazing to have an app that you can download to your phone and enter the nutritional info and immediately have that answer?  Become a member and press the "Download App" button.  It's just that simple.

  • What's the next app in development?

    The groundwork is being laid for the next app.  It will be something that can track what you've already eaten and what you have left (think split protein and veggies throughout the day).  It will also tell you how much fat to add when you have eaten different proteins from the 5, 6, or 7 ounce categories.  For example: If you had an egg at breakfast, how much shrimp can you have at dinner...and how much fat should you still add?

  • Do I Need To Be Referred by Someone?

    Absolutely not!  If you find this site on your own and want to join us… WELCOME!  From time to time, we will do membership drives and incentivize referrals.  In this case, you will gain an extra entry in the drawing by referring your friends to this site.  If your name is entered in the “Referred By” line, there is nothing extra for you to do… we add another entry for you in the drawing.    If no one referred you, leave that field blank. Simple! Simple! Simple!

  • What if I want to contribute a blog, story, or picture?

    YES!! If you would like to contribute something to the site, please do!  We welcome all contributions and suggestions.  We reserve the right to edit content or add disclaimers as necessary, but we would love to hear from you.  You will be required to sign a Media Release form, which we will send to you via email upon receipt of your submission.

  • What are these giveaways?

    We have tried lots of things over the last year- gadgets, skincare, tightening creams, anti-wrinkle creams… you name it!  Now we want to give these items to YOU!  The only way to enter is to become a member.  It’s that simple.
